Reverend Sidney Venable, III
Pastor
Rev. Venable has served as pastor of Mt. Hebron Presbyterian Church since 1983. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland and has his Master's of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. He was ordained by the Presbytery of Baltimore in 1971. Rev. Venable also has a Master's degree and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Pastoral Counseling; he is a certified grief counselor; and he holds a Certificate in Spiritual Formation from Columia Theological Seminary. He served churches in Crossville, Tn. and Waynesboro, PA before coming to Mt. Hebron.
Sid is married and has two grown children: Katherine, who is training to be a doctor; and Stephen, who is an intercessory missionary with the International House of Prayer. He enjoys going to the movies, reading mysteries, singing in the choir, and never turns down an invitation to play golf.
